LA Playlist: “BREAKFAST IN NYC”

Today, we go to the actually really good “Gossip Girl” soundtrack from the actually really good show “Gossip Girl.”  A light-hearted, dance-y but not obnoxious collection of indie struts, the highlight is “Breakfast in NYC.”

I chose it because I just had a fabulous weekend brunch in a fabulously metropolitan city after a late night.  There’s a lot of changes happening lately.  But then again, there’s always changes happening.  We’re 2/3 of the way through 2010, and the only constant I can hold to is my apartment and my love of brunch.

Here’s to all of you out there who’s lives are changing.  Isn’t it strange that even though when things are changing for the better, they’re still uncomfortable and unsettling?  This song doesn’t speak to that, but it does put me at ease during such long nights.
