Eva Braun, a.k.a. Hitler’s Girlfriend, donned blackface and drag in this recently released 1937 photograph.  Racism, on top of xenophobia?  Or is this a much more fascinating tribute to the 1927 Al Jolson movie “The Jazz Singer,” which was about, among other things, maintaining Jewish tradition.  Hmmmm.
