“West Coast Time” by The Gregory Brothers
When comedians move their work into a territory that’s not as wacky, the results can be tricky. For me, Adam Sandler got more charming in Punch-Drunk Love. However, Jim Carrey becomes less charming to me. Not that he’s bad is serious films, but he’s just got less pizazz.
Musicians The Gregory Brothers, popularized by their “Auto-Tune the News” segments, have produced an album of so-called legit songs. The soulful “West Coast Time,” about a New York guy trying to snag a phone call from his friend on the West Coast when he can’t sleep, hits the right notes.
Again, music is very subjective, and as someone who’s currently separated from a loved one by a continent, I was powerless against it. Check it out on iTunes, but first, gander at this initial videos from the “Auto-Tune” guys:
