bachmannmessage 300x205 Hey History!

Does anybody remember a time when it was normal for opponents of gay marriage to provide this as a viable argument:

“Gays can get married.  As long as they marry someone of the opposite sex.”

It was a cuckoo crazy time when such an insulting, forehead-slapping, “Oh, I see what you did there” response was deemed appropriate and not at all lacking in merit.

It was a time known as November 30, 2011.  The mouthpiece is Michele Bachmann.

I hesitated to even report this because it’s shameful this clown has been allowed to get as far along the in the race as she has.  Of course she says this.  This is what she does.  It’s us who are the kooks that expect her to NOT say these kinds of things.

That was Bachmann’s husband, Marcus, on gays.  I would post the audio clip of him saying this, but I worry about blowing out your speakers with his sibilant ‘s’ sounds.

Fun Fact: Bachmann isn't really married. Before the election, she hired actor Robert Michael Morris, Hairdresser Mickey from HBO's short-lived sitcom THE COMEBACK, to play the character of "Marcus." It'll all be in the book.

Apparently, yes, we are to all follow in the Bachmann’s footsteps and marry oppositely, regardless of interest.

Jesus, can we retire this petulant non-argument already?  It’s embarrassing for everyone.  Also, I fail to see how a law not existing is a not a law being denied.  Why make laws, then, if there is no need?  Oh.  You’re don’t believe that, and you were just being cute?  I see.
